Wayne's Drive Inn
This is the famous "Wayne's Drive Inn" that I frequented as a high school student (many years ago!) here in Lawton. They still have "Sissy Burgers", REAL "Cherry Cokes" and more! It was the place to go and just drive around in circles and visit friends all hours of the day or night. We have brought our children and grandchildren to visit here and now this is "the place" to come when you are in Lawton.

YUM....I think I already said that! Oh well, I am glad that you all had fun there. Maybe someday soon I can get there again...once I am back on the other side of the Atlantic! Tell everyone hi.

Alice, we had just such a place in my home town! It was eventually bought by Alex Schoenbaum, the guy who started Shoney's restaurants. How nice that your kids have all seen it!
Mr. kenju loves cherry cokes and they are hard to find nowadays.
Alice forgot to mention their famous chili cheese burgers. She allowed me (the "much" younger sister) to tag along to Wayne's. I still think that was "cool" for a much "older" sister to do. Seriously, it has been fun having her here with me and laughing all the time.
P.S. We now have two Wayne's in Lawton - the new one is about 3 blocks from my house. Alice says it's not the same as the "original". Come visit me girls and I'll show you the town! Auntie Linda
