Yesterday was a cold and windy day here in Raleigh...which in my head means it's time to build a fire!! One of my favorite things about winter is building a fire to cozy up to and either read or watch a good movie. I remember when my mom was living she'd have a fire going pretty much all day long during the winters in Oklahoma. A Warm Fire...

I've shared that fire with you, Alice, and I hope to again sometime.
I miss those cozy fires at Mom and Dad's house. She would ask Dad to start it first thing in the morning and keep it going all day long. You had to keep the thermostat turned down so you didn't "roast" in the living room. The rest of the house was a bit chilly. I remember when she and I went looking for a new house - her only requirement was that it have a fireplace. Thanks for the memories....Love, Linda
